Six Years -- An Anniversary of Badger Motors

Are labors of love and creative exercise worthy pursuits? Worth is defined by the outcome we want, a vision we have when we start. In most instances that vision is derailed by reality, by competing interests, by ability and by others. Sometimes, our own tendencies kill the dream.

Many years ago, I became obsessed by vehicles in SL. Much is the same as RL. We wrote a blog called Things that Move in SL and we reviewd everything from boats, planes, cars, and, of course, motorcycles. For the most part, those bike builders we reviewed aren't around anymore but some still are, thankfully. It opened a door when Lizzy suggested, "build your own bikes." So I did and that was the birth of Badger Motors in 2019.

Since then, we have evolved and grown in our skills, established partnerships, collaborations and yet, the vision remained: build the bikes that we like. Our customers grew with us, our group grew and the challenge grew. Customer service and pricing to sell but not gouge is what matters to us.

From this point of view, as we enter our seventh year, thank you to our customers. The builds excite us and we are honored that they excite you as well. Are we successful? Yeah, by the goals we set at the start, more wildly successful than we could have dreamed and it isn't because of us. We have some really great customers.

Enough of the watery eyes and nostalgia for now. We have more to build and hopefully, our customers will continue along with us. There is always an "us" to this and that "us" is a pretty impressive group of people from customers, parts builders, advisors, educators, partners and two Badgers.

Our Inworld Locations

If you're testing a possible purchase, just want to come ride, or bringing your MC, RC or some friends to ride, Badger Motors has a nice track from the ground up to about 2000M+. Ride out requests are available at the landing. Send your completed requests to Mikal Brinner and Lizzy Nightfire. If one of us isn't online, the other will be sure to get your ride out scheduled.

We also have a game pier on the ground level and several areas along the way to pull over and share a moment.

There is a timed track at the first level so you can lay down some times and see your name in lights. The boards are reset monthly.

Badger Motors is a neutral sim. We play nice in the sand box with everyone and we keep our sim welcome to all who visit. Our sim rules are printed at the landing.
